- What does a product marketer actually do?
- They work out who your product or service is for, what to say so those people care, how you're different, what to charge, and how to launch so it lands. Then they give sales the stories to close deals.
- Do I need a product marketer or a copywriter?
- The line is blurrier than people think. Plenty of good copywriters work from an ideal customer profile. The real question is whether you already know who you're for, what you offer them and why they'd choose you. If you do, you need the words. If you don't, sort that out first, because no amount of polish fixes the wrong message. I can do both: get clear on who it's for, then write the words that land with them.
- How do I find my ideal customer profile?
- Look at the customers who got value fastest, stayed longest and were easiest to win. Then talk to them. Who's It For? (£950) does this with two of your customers. No customers yet? Start with a Power Hour.
- Can you help with competitor analysis?
- Yes. The Price Check (£450) compares your prices with three competitors. For a fuller look at competitors' positioning, we agree the competitors and the depth first, then I quote.
- How long does it take to write a case study?
- Usually 3 to 4 weeks, most of it waiting for approvals. The Proof Machine produces three, plus a template so your team can keep going.
